Made in America

Rope Lok Made in America.
My Brother, Sister and myself went down to Erin Rope Corp in Blue Island, IL, to watch them make our rope. This is one of only a few companies in the USA that still makes rope here in America, and as you know we are keeping our No Knot Rope Lok, 100% made in the USA. After meeting with our sales representative Tom Leyden, and the owner of the company they then took us on a tour of the plant. The first things that we noticed was how clean and neat the place was, and how organized everything seemed to be. They had two of the rope making machines running with our rope, the other machines were making all different size and color rope. After we had left the plant on our way back to Michigan, we were talking about how hard it is to be a manufacturer in the USA, trying to compete with overseas factories, in the end it is all worth it.
We have been to each company that we purchase from and have seen them with our own eyes, American workers making American products; we are trying to do our part by keeping our factory right here in Michigan. Here is a list of the companies that we purchase from, you are welcome to contact them and see the factories for yourself. Rope from Erin Rope Corp, Blue Island, IL, Lock from McPherson Plastics, Otsego, MI, Header from Imperial Graphics, Grand Rapids, MI, Farrell’s from Schupan Aluminum, Kalamazoo, MI, Shrink from Electro Insulation, Arlington Heights, IL, SS roll pins from Fastenal, Kalamazoo, MI, Boxes from Mall City Container, Kalamazoo, MI.
We would like everyone to check and see where the products are being made before you buy, it may cost a little more to purchase a product made in the USA, but you are saving American jobs and supporting the American economy when you purchase made in the USA products. We at Rope Lok are doing our part to help support American; you should do the same, buy American.
Check out the video of the rope machine running our rope.

When Doug Hassing became a statistic in Michigan’s unemployment rate, which is currently at nearly 14 percent with jobs being outsourced regularly, the Otsego resident made his own job. Enter Rope Lok LLC. Hassing created the Plainwell business, located in the city’s industrial park, to manufacture the Rope Lok, his invention that “eliminates wasted time spent by cutting rope, tying and prying apart stubborn knots.”
